Facial injuries

Injuries of the face may involve lacerations, avulsion or multiple fractures of the facial bones. The minor injuries are treated on outpatient patient basis where lacerations are repaired by very fine sutures which leads to almost no scars. Major injuries of the face are treated after admitting the patients. If there are facial fractures these patients are operated under anaesthesia for fixation of the fractures by Mini plates and screws. These patients may also have injuries to other parts of the body which are taken care of by Specialists from other departments
